Is your carpet ready for recycling? Recycle them at the Auburn Transfer Station (12305 Shale Ridge Road Auburn, CA 95602) starting on April 11, 2025!

Follow these simple steps to prepare the carpet for recycling:

  1. Keep it dry.
  2. Keep it debris-free by removing tack strips, nails, trash, and dirt.
  3. Prepare the carpet: cut the carpet into manageable sections and separate the carpet from the pad. Roll carpet and either roll, stack, or fold carpet pad. Stack, wrap, and strap carpet tile on a pallet (no more than 4′ high).
  4. Recycle the carpet at the Auburn Transfer Station.
  5. Save money!
