Holiday Tree Recycling: Curbside collection of holiday trees will take place Jan 6th – 10th 2025 on your service day. Trees must be unflocked with metal stakes removed and trees larger than 6ft must be cut in half. Trees can be cut to fit inside your green cart, with the lid closed, for collection at any time.
CRV Buy-Back Services:
We are proud to provide CRV buy-back services at the Novato Recycling Center, located at 7576 Redwood Blvd. The hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 10 AM – 4 PM.

Pick up a Kitchen Countertop Pail: Novato residents can pick up a countertop kitchen pail at the Recycling Center at no charge. Kitchen pails make it easier to compost food scraps.
California State Law SB 1383 requires certain edible food generators to donate surplus edible food. These generators are grouped into categories of Tier 1 and Tier 2. Learn more about the requirements here.
