CURBSIDE ON-CALL COLLECTION

For large items that do not fit or belong in your bins like old furniture, excess garbage, or mattresses, Mercer Island residents are entitled to one free non-appliance Bulky Item Collection per year. This can be scheduled by calling 206.381.6980 or clicking ‘schedule a collection’ below. Service charges and disposal/recycling fees apply.

Set-out Instructions:

• Items must be placed at the curb
• Limit one free bulky item collection per customer annually
• Doors must be removed from refrigerators and freezers (Appliances not included in free service)

CURBSIDE ON-CALL COLLECTION RATES

*Once each calendar year, Mercer Island residential customers may place up to one cubic yard of garbage (must be in 32-gallon, or smaller, cans or bags) and two non-appliance bulky items (i.e. mattresses, couches, chairs) for same day collection at no additional charge. Service charges and disposal fees apply for appliances and collections that exceed one cubic yard and/or single pickup in one calendar year. Limit one bulky item pickup per customer.
