Volunteering, Education, and Art
Recology is committed to serving the communities we serve through our excellent services, volunteering, education programs and fostering artists.
In September 2007, Recology launched its employee volunteer program to support the communities where employees live and work. Volunteer projects have included, but are not limited to providing food service to the homeless; applying recycled paint and other supplies reclaimed from the waste stream to beautify a child care center and shelter for recovering addicts; collecting books, clothing and food for economically disadvantaged families domestically and in under-developed countries; creating a safe and sustainable landscaped playground for underprivileged youth; and assisting a municipal rose garden win the coveted status as "America's Best Rose Garden".
Our world-renown Artist in Residence Program, creates art from reclaimed materials to promote reuse and recycling.
